東京駅丸の内駅舎内に今年4月にオープンした「TOKYO STATION CAFE -THE NORTH DOME-」。重要文化財である駅舎の歴史的な質感をそのまま体感できるカフェとして、東京駅丸の内北ドーム内に誕生しました。
店内は、高い天井や縦長の窓が印象的な開放感あふれる空間。さらに、本来は内装の裏に隠される構造レンガをあえて露出させることで、百余年にわたり東京の玄関口を支えてきた駅舎の歴史を間近に感じられるインテリアとなっています。
よく目を凝らしてみると、この駅舎が「鉄骨レンガ造」であることを物語る構造を見ることができます。レンガの間に鉄骨が組み込まれた様子からは、創建当時の高い建築技術と堅牢な造りを実感できるでしょう。
また、内装材を固定するために使われていた「木レンガ」も残されており、その一部には黒く焼け焦げた痕跡を見ることができます。これは1945年の東京大空襲による被災の跡。戦後の復興工事では、焼失した内装の漆喰を剥がし、表面に「目あらし」と呼ばれる傷を付けたうえでモルタルを塗り重ねました。
店内では、そのモルタル層も同時に観察することができ、大正、昭和、平成、そして令和へと受け継がれてきた駅舎の歩みを、一つの壁面の中に感じることができます。まるで建築そのものが語り部となり、東京駅の歴史を静かに伝えてくれるかのようです。
カフェメニューのおすすめは、ドームの円形をイメージして考案された「オリジナルドームズコット」。旬のフルーツをふんだんに使用しており、季節ごとに異なる味わいを楽しめるのも魅力です。香り豊かなフルーツガーデンティーとともに味わえば、歴史ある空間で過ごす優雅なティータイムに。
東京駅を利用する際はぜひ足を運び、ここでしか出会えない建築の記憶と、彩り豊かなスイーツをお楽しみください。歴史を「感じて、味わう」ことのできる特別なカフェ体験が待っています。

Opened this April inside Tokyo Station’s Marunouchi Building, **TOKYO STATION CAFE - THE NORTH DOME** offers a unique café experience within an Important Cultural Property.
Featuring soaring ceilings, tall arched windows, and exposed original brickwork, the space reveals the craftsmanship and engineering of the station’s 1914 construction. Visitors can also discover preserved historical details, including original wooden brick inserts and traces of postwar restoration.
Be sure to try the signature "Original Dome Zucotto", inspired by the station’s iconic dome and topped with seasonal fruits, best enjoyed with a cup of fragrant Fruit Garden Tea.

Tonight is Tanabata, Japan’s Star Festival.
Rooted in a centuries-old legend, Tanabata celebrates the annual reunion of Orihime and Hikoboshi—two lovers who, separated by the Milky Way, are permitted to meet just once a year on the seventh day of the seventh month.

For generations, it has been a cherished custom in Japan to write one’s wishes on colourful paper strips and hang them on bamboo branches, entrusting them to the stars.

プラネタリウムならではの360度に広がる全天映像と、頭上を駆ける流れ星の演出が、まるで銀河の世界へ旅に出たような没入感をもたらします。
東京ステーションホテルから徒歩13分、有楽町マリオン9Fにある「コニカミノルタプラネタリアTOKYO」は、大人のためのプラネタリウム。
エントランスの天井には、オープン日の2018年12月19日の惑星配置を再現したレリーフ、ドームへ向かう途中には、“プラネタリウムの祖”と称されるオランダ人天文家の邸宅をイメージした空間が広がり、まるで物語の世界へ足を踏み入れるかのような高揚感に満たされます。ドーム内にはゆったりしたソファシートも。銀河を思わせる西陣織が彩る上質な設えで、星々が織りなす幻想的な世界へと誘います。
アロマが香るヒーリングプラネタリウム、アニメやアーティストとのコラボレーションなど、従来のプラネタリウムの概念を覆すクリエイティブな作品が上映されています。作品によっては英語オーディオガイドも。
東京観光の合間に、あるいはディナーの後に。都会の喧騒を離れ、静かに心身を解きほぐすひとときを。
Beneath a sky full of stars, in the heart of Tokyo.

At Konica Minolta Planetaria TOKYO, just a 13-minute walk from The Tokyo Station Hotel, immersive 360-degree visuals unfold overhead while shooting stars race across the dome, creating the sensation of travelling through the galaxy itself.
Above the entrance, a celestial relief recreates the planetary alignment of December 19, 2018—the day Planetaria TOKYO first opened its doors. As you make your way toward the dome, you`ll pass through a space inspired by the residence of the Dutch astronomer often regarded as the “father of the planetarium,” creating the exhilarating feeling of stepping into a storybook world.
Inside the dome, plush sofa seating and interiors adorned with Nishijin textiles reminiscent of the Milky Way create an atmosphere of quiet luxury. Here, stars drift, constellations come alive, and the boundaries between reality and imagination begin to blur.
From aroma-infused healing programs to collaborations with beloved artists and anime, each production offers a different journey through the cosmos. Selected programs also feature English audio guides.

東京駅丸の内駅舎のなかにある東京ステーションホテル。駅舎の中央、その最上階にある特別な空間をご存じですか？
そこには、旅人だけが出会える、光あふれるとっておきの場所が隠されています。
ここは、ステイゲスト専用の朝食会場「アトリウム」。天井高約9m、400㎡を超える開放的な空間に朝の光がやわらかく降り注ぎ、100年前の赤レンガが静かに歴史を語ります。
戦後には一時、駅講堂として利用されましたが、その大半の年月は屋根裏として、使われず物置となっていました。「アトリウム」は、その眠っていた屋根裏空間を活用して誕生した朝食会場です。2012年のホテル再開業にあたり、文化庁の特別な許可を得て線路側一面をガラス屋根に改修。約4年半をかけて実現した、重要文化財を未来へつなぐ挑戦でもあります。
印象的な赤レンガは装飾ではなく、駅舎を支える構造レンガをあえてあらわにしたもの。中央にそびえる鉄骨も、創業当時の部材を戦後の復興時に補強材として再活用した歴史の証です。
重要文化財を「保存する」だけでなく、「使い続ける文化財」として受け継ぐ。その想いが息づくアトリウムで迎える朝は、東京ステーションホテルだからこその特別な体験です。

The Atrium, the hotel`s breakfast venue, is a light-filled sanctuary with soaring 9-meter ceilings, original red brick walls, and a glass roof that fills the space with natural morning light. Once an unused attic, it was carefully restored during the hotel`s 2012 reopening, preserving its historic character while giving new life to an Important Cultural Property.
More than a breakfast venue, The Atrium embodies The Tokyo Station Hotel`s philosophy of Living Heritage—where history is not simply preserved, but experienced every day.
